In addition, an update will be released on September 3 that will add the new Rivals Mode and the Gear Mastery System to Ghost of Tsushima: Legends. New content will be posted every week from September 10 to October 1.
The standalone version of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends will launch alongside an update that adds new features, including some changes based on community feedback. Survival mode has been rebalanced to reduce session length, and new weekly variations of the Nightmare Survival challenge have been added. Additional cosmetic items have also been unlocked for players who earned them in the Single Player Campaign or New Game+.
All Ghost of Tsushima: Legends content available to Ghost of Tsushima players will be available in the standalone version, except cosmetics, which can only be unlocked via the single-player campaign. Users who purchase the standalone version of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends will be able to upgrade to Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut at any time for € 49.99 for PlayStation 4 or € 59.99 for PlayStation 5.
Sony also reported that an update scheduled for September 3 would add the new Rivals Mode and Gear Mastery System to Ghost of Tsushima: Legends. The first is a mode in which two two-player teams compete to defeat waves of enemies. The second content is a new expansion of progression systems and rewards for legends. With this, players will now upgrade their gear from level 110 to level 120 and unlock a second perk slot. New skills and techniques can also be unlocked for each class.
Finally, new content will be released every week from September 10 to October 1, including an additional Rivals map, new Survival maps inspired by the island of Iki and the kingdom of Iyo, and “Trials of Iyo,” a more difficult version of the raid of 2020 with multi-part challenges and a new set of leaderboards.
Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut will be released on August 20 for € 79.99 on PlayStation 5 and € 69.99 on PlayStation 4. Users who own Ghost of Tsushima on PlayStation 4 can pre-order an upgrade to Director’s Cut on PlayStation 4 for € 19.99.
