GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon, a remake of GetsuFumaDen (1987), was revealed by Konami and is due to arrive on PC and Nintendo Switch in 2022. The title announcement came during a live broadcast of Indie World, focused on indie games for Nintendo.
The remake features a strategic combat “based on the unique space and time aspects of Japanese martial arts.” Undying Moon promises the same degree of challenge as the original game but with a completely revamped artistic style inspired by traditional Japanese art.
It will be possible to use different weapons to face demonic opponents, be they yokai or entities. Watch the trailer:
“After 1,000 years of peace, the seal of the gate of hell has been torn, and a flood of evil spirits has been released into the world. With the world on the brink of destruction, Getsu Fuma must take on the clan leader cloak and explore the chasms of hell to cut evil at the root. “
The game goes into early access for PC on May 13, 2021. The game developed by the studio GuruGuru and distributed by Konami will be released for Nintendo Switch in 2022, without a defined date.
