Just the day before yesterday, update 2.0 was released to Genshin Impact, introducing, among other things, a completely new region. However, it turns out that soon players will also be able to visit several other yet unannounced areas.
The head of MiHoYo studio, Haoyu Cai, attended the Game Developers Conference, who decided to share exciting information. We learned that over the next four years, another four new regions would appear in Genshin Impact.
“Although Genshin Impact has been in operation since 2020, the game is still in development. We have completed three of the seven regions, and the third – Inazuma – has yet to be polished. It will take us another four years to complete all seven regions in Teyvat.”
With the release of the new update, a completely new region has appeared in the game – Inazuma. It is a place away from the main continent, led by the Electro Archon. New types of buildings are waiting for players and completely new creatures and elements of culture. It’s a whole new world to discover, made up of six islands.
In addition to the new character, Kamisato Ayaka, the update also introduced the long-awaited cross-save. This means that from now on, players can switch their saves between different platforms. It does not matter if we are going to play mobile, PC, or console. It is the perfect solution for warm summer days when we go on a holiday trip.
Yesterday, it was also officially announced that Aloy from Horizon: Zero Dawn will come to Genshin Impact’s game. Her debut is scheduled for fall. You can read more details about the crossover with this heroine in this post.
