The open world of Tevyat is filled with hundreds of different collections, from precious stones to living plants, many of which are essential components of various alchemy recipes and character/weapon ascensions. Not all of them are easy to find, and some even require special techniques to be harvested. Here’s how to get Electro Crystal in Genshin Impact.

How to Get Electro Crystal in Genshin Impact

First of all, Electro Crystals are purple stones that you can find in several different locations. Usually, they are found below or on the surface of cliffs and canyons. Two areas we recommend exploring are the Stormterror layer (image above) and Cape Oath.

The canyon leading to the Stormterror layer is equipped with various crystals and is a safe bet for farming Crystal Chunks and Electro Crystals.

Meanwhile, Cape Oath lies southeast of Mondstadt (across from the Musk Reef) and is also a great place to explore.

For a visual reference, what it looks like, you can see the image above. A Pyro elemental attack like Amber or Xiangling’s charged attack will break the crystal for how to solve it. Keep in mind that Electro Crystals will deal with shock and damage to any character that gets too close.

After you break the crystal, you can harvest the material. Electro Crystals can be used to create Insulation Potions and Shocking Essential Oil, which can buff or debuff Electro elemental attacks.
