MiHoYo has released a new in-depth video on Sumeru, the fourth explorable region of Genshin Impact, with update 3.0. Although we do not have a definitive release date for the update, we know that the Dendro region will arrive this year. The new video reveals some local peculiarities, from the gigantic forests to the sprites that inhabit the woods, passing through cities built in the interior of trees, deserts, and atolls.
Sumeru will be a completely different region from those seen so far. The wide plains of Mondstad, the high mountains of Liyue, and the archipelago of Inazuma stage areas are extremely original and completely different. Sumeru will not be outdone, mainly focusing on a wooded setting with so many possibilities of vertical exploration, less technologically developed cities, and even a gigantic desert in the western part, only half explorable and possible link with the Natlan region.
Genshin Impact updated version 2.8 on July 13, and the second act of the update will start on August 2. The next update is scheduled for August 24 and could be 2.9 or 3.0, depending on MiHoYo’s plans. To find out, we have to wait for the next Livestream.
