Genshin Impact has recently updated version 2.0, introducing three new characters, the new map of Inazuma, story missions, and much more. Exactly one month after the launch of version 2.1, however, the first leaks of the new content have already appeared, and fortunately, it seems that miHoYo still has many surprises in store.
First, the new version of the game out on September 1 will introduce three new characters, the goddess Baal, also known as Raiden Shogun (5 Star Electro, lance), her subordinate Kujou Sara (4 Star Electro, arc), and the leader of the Kokomi Sangonomiya resistance (5 Star Hydro, catalyst). The first two will arrive simultaneously in the banner on September 1, while Sangonomiya will be available three weeks later, from September 22, 2021.
As for the game map, from September 1, two more islands of Inazuma will be added, which added to the three available since the launch of version 2.0 bring the total to five islands out of six. The two new explorable areas will be Watatsumi Island (west) and Seirai Island (south-east), while at the moment, no information has yet been shared on Tsurumi Island, where we will probably witness the final act of the story. Below you can take a look at the map.
Finally, the leaks anticipate the presence of four timed events, including one that will introduce fishing, called “Light Caresses the Moon.” By completing the event in question, the player will get two weapons, a spear and a nice claymore in the shape of a fish and will unlock new furnishings for their home.
Immediately after the Moonchase Festival, the “Hyakunin Ikki Event” will kick-off. The Inazuma tournament is where the player must form six teams of two characters and defeat hordes of enemies. After that, the “Spectral Secrets” and “Lunar Realm” events will arrive. The former asks the player to discover the secret behind the ghosts that roam Inazuma, and the latter introduces a large legendary fish.
Update 2.1 will also include new story missions and three bosses: Electro Oceanid, Hydro Hypostasis, and a new weekly boss that we won’t reveal details about to avoid spoilers. Below you can take a look at the images.
