A job announcement posted by The Coalition on Microsoft’s Careers portal confirmed that Gear 6 is in development, although the game has not yet been officially announced. The series inherited from the Canadian studio is mentioned in the description of the profile sought.
The Coalition is looking for a motion capture expert, a sign that the title is probably still in the early stages of production. On the other hand, as Aaron Greenberg had declared a few months ago, the studio is working on several projects not yet announced, including a new IP, which could arrive before the new chapter of Gears.
Given the recent statements from The Coalition regarding their transition to Unreal Engine 5, the game could also benefit from Epic Games’ highly promising new graphics engine.
