Square Enix has released a new trailer promoting the release of Gate of Nightmares, a new mobile JRPG bearing the name of Hiro Mashima, a well-known Japanese mangaka, also responsible for Fairy Tail and Edens Zero. For this game, in particular, he designed the characters and created the universe.
The latest promotional video highlights that this title will be released on October 26th for iOS and Android in Japan.
Pre-registrations are now available.
The setting is written by Jin Fujisawa, who worked on Dragon Quest VIII, IX, and X, while the music is by Yasuharu Takanashi, who worked on many anime such as Fairy Tail, Log Horizon, and Naruto (via Twinfinite ).
The game was initially announced in April for iOS and Android and has only been announced for Japan. Square Enix has not mentioned the possibility of a Western release but has recently brought many of its mobile games to North America and Europe, which could open a window for JRPG-style fans to this future Gate of Nightmares.
