Forspoken is back for one last time in an unreleased 10-minute gameplay video featuring incredible magic, parkour, and one last look at the world of Athia. Game Informer has released the video exclusively in agreement with Square Enix, revealing some of the main features of the title and even some new mechanics.
In the first few minutes of the new gameplay video, we can observe Frey, the protagonist, fighting against some monstrous creatures and exploring the ruins of a city. Thanks to the information of the last few weeks, we know that monsters were born after the arrival of a calamity called “The Break,” which has corrupted animals, people, and entire areas of Athia, making the game world extremely dangerous and aggressive.
The video emphasizes the excellent movement system, with Frey appearing to be able to move quickly without interruption, exploiting the surfaces to cover very large distances in a short time. Game Informer reporters confirm that there will be fall damage and that it will be necessary to use a spell to launch from high positions without encountering Game Over. As for the combat, the particle effects of the spells continue to be surprising, and the presence of support spells and invocations has been confirmed, with the protagonist who will be able to summon fire spirits to get a hand in battle.
The video released is also the latest in Game Informer’s Forspoken column. We remind you that the game’s release is scheduled for October 11 on PS5 and PC.
