Oculus announces that they will host the first-ever Oculus Gaming Showcase on April 21, with updates on Pistol Whip, Lone Echo 2, Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge, and more.
Oculus revealed the details of the showcase in a blog post, promising that this event is “entirely dedicated to the great games on the Oculus Platform.”
In addition to updates to Cloudhead Games’ Pistol Whip, Ready at Dawn’s Lone Echo 2, and ILMxLAB’s Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge, it will also feature never-before-seen footage of unreleased games and “a few surprises.”
This news follows Facebook’s confirmation that the Oculus Quest 2 has sold very well. Since its launch in October 2020, more Quests 2 have been sold than any other Oculus headset combined.
Despite that success, there was also controversy surrounding the Oculus Quest 2. Shortly after release, people found out that you would lose all access to your games, purchases, and progress if you deleted your Oculus-linked Facebook account.
