The producer of Final Fantasy 16 has published a letter to fans informing them about the current state of production. Due to the pandemic, work on the game was delayed for almost half a year, but we can expect a “great show” of the game in the spring.
In a Twitter statement by Naoki Yoshida, we read that the developers had to work from home, which made it difficult to communicate with the project’s main office in Tokyo. This led to delays or – in the worst cases – to deletion game elements provided by external partners.
At the same time, the developer informs that the studio wants to deliver a fully refined product, currently focusing on improving the graphics, improving the combat system, and finalizing cutscenes.
Final Fantasy 16 will debut as an exclusive title for the PlayStation 5 console.
