Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier is officially available on smartphones (iOS and Android) and is already a success with over two million downloads in just a few hours. Square Enix’s first battle royale video game can be downloaded right now at no cost and allows users to compete for the title of Best Soldier.
Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier is a battle royale video game similar to the genre’s pioneers, such as PUBG and Fortnite. After starting a game, the player is placed in a lobby waiting for the server to populate and then can choose the place to jump into the only game map available, a training area in the slums of Midgar. Once landed, players must collect weapons and defeat AI-controlled robots to earn Gil, to spend on arsenal or summons. The goal is to defeat the other players and take the title of the last survivor, making sure to stay within the safe zone.
The game is not currently localized in Italian, so you need a little familiarity with English to orient yourself and understand all the game mechanics. As usual, it is also possible to spend money on in-game cosmetic items via a microtransaction system.
Square Enix currently seems to have difficulty managing the servers, now under maintenance due to the large number of players connected, but the problem should be resolved soon. For more information on Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier, you can check out the latest gameplay video.
