Last June, the data miner “EpicData Tracker” had found the game files of Final Fantasy VII Remake and Alan Wake Remastered hidden inside the Epic Games Store database, which, if official, would have confirmed the release on PC of both titles.
This weekend, about three months after the leaks appeared, Taiwanese retailer Rakuten Taiwan mistakenly opened preorders for Alan Wake Remastered, out October 5, 2021, on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X / S.
This is confirming the existence of the game and consequently reinforcing the integrity of the EpicData Tracker leak.
Alan Wake Remastered is expected to be announced later this week and will arrive on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. EpicData Tracker was the first to anticipate its existence, and considering that in the same files, there were several references to the PC release of Final Fantasy VII Remake. We can assume that a port is part of Square Enix’s plans and missing very little from the announcement.
Last May, the Japanese development house confirmed that the release of Final Fantasy VII Intergrade on PS5 would extend the Sony exclusively for a minimum of six months so that the PC port may see the light during the first quarter of 2022.
