Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster will be released for iOS, Android, and PC in February 2022.
This will be the last game in the series of remasters of the classic games in the franchise. It only arrives next year so that the producers have “the necessary time to apply the final polish while finishing the game’s development,” as justified by Square Enix.
The game’s PC version is now available for pre-booking and includes various bonuses such as special soundtrack tracks and two themed wallpapers.
When the Pixel Remaster version is released, the original game will no longer be available on digital platforms, just like its predecessors.
For now, the remasters are only available for PC and mobile platforms. Square Enix has come up with the possibility of releasing them for consoles, which left fans quite unhappy.
