Final Fantasy 7: The First Soldier will receive a closed beta test in June 2021, allowing North American Android players to try out the upcoming battle royale game.
The closed beta of Final Fantasy 7: The First Soldier will take place June 1-7. If you are interested in the game, it is possible to register until May 27, 2021, via the official link. Players must have an Android with at least Android 7.1 and have at least 3GB of free space available on the device.
For now, the test is only available in America and Canada. Square Enix has indicated that the progress made by players will not be carried over to the final version of the game. It will be possible for players to stream the beta version of the game.
Final Fantasy 7: The First Soldier was announced at the same time as Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis. The latter is a “single player game that is divided into chapters and covers the entire FFVII timeline. That includes the events from the original and the FFVII ‘compilation’ titles.”
The battle royale game takes place 30 years before the events of Final Fantasy 7. The released trailer shows that you can get started with guns, close combat, abilities, Summons such as Ifrit, bosses such as Guard Scorpion, and much more.
No release date has been announced yet, but the game should be available in 2021. Players looking to return to Final Fantasy 7 Remake can do so on June 10 with Remake Intergrade for PS5.
