During Reemake’s Final Fantasy 7 Remake, you will take a new Materia, Summon Materia – either find it (hidden), as a gift, or buy it from a shop.
In this guide, we will explain what Summon Materia is and how you will use it. We will also tell you where to find more Summon Materia.
What is Summon Materia?
Summon Materia is put in a particular slot on your party’s weapons (and only their weapons). Each party member can have their own Summon Materia.
During certain battles (such as challenging battles and boss fights), you will get a new purple gauge on the right side of your screen. When this gauge is full, you will have an option in your Command menu called Summon. This option will call something – like Chocobo or ifrit – to fight with your friends and friends.
These summon massive deal amounts of damage with just their basic attacks, but they also have their special attacks. Every time one of your party has ATB points to spend, and there is a summon present, they can direct the Summon to attack your chosen enemy.
When the summoned monster arrives, the gauge will slowly descend. When empty, the monster will carry out one last extra strong attack, and then leave the battle.
Where to get Summon Materia?
The next four are gifts from Chadley. For every five Battle Intel Challenges that you complete, it will prepare a VR battle for you. When you win, you will get the following Summon Materia:
- Shiva Summon Materia
- Fat Chocobo Summon Materia
- Leviathan Summon Materia
- Bahamut Summon Materia
The three remaining Summon Materia are pre-order bonuses or come with a special edition of the game:
- Chocobo Chick Summon Materia (pre-order)
- Cactuar Summon Materia (Deluxe Edition)
- Carbuncle Summon Materia (Deluxe Edition)
Here is a list of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Summon Materia that you can get throughout the game.
