Continuing the tradition of the series, Far Cry 6 offers a secret, bad ending that we can trigger at the beginning of the adventure – by not following the recommendations.
Unlike Far Cry 4 and 5, the alternate story finale is no longer available in the first minutes, and only after completing the mission “Libertad Rises,” one of the story’s opening quests. Then, driven – or led – by the player, Dani chooses to stay on Yara Island and join the Resistance or enter the boat and sail to the United States.
Most gamers probably wouldn’t think running away is a viable option, but it turns out Ubisoft predicted this ending as well. After moving away from the island, we have the opportunity to see a short cutscene in which, three months later, Dani is lying on a beach in Miami and hears on the radio that the war on Yara is over. Dictator Anton Castillo killed the leader of the Libertad, thereby putting down the rebellion.
Far Cry 6 is making its debut today – on PC and two generations of consoles.
