Mediatonic has announced a live stream dedicated to Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, scheduled for May 16. During the Livestream, the studio will make “the biggest announcement ever dedicated to the game.” In the last few hours, many players have hypothesized that the transition to the free-to-play model is a good idea since it would help to repopulate the game servers.
Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout launched in August 2020 on PS4 and PC and achieved tremendous popularity thanks to its day one release on PS Plus. As the months went by, the servers started losing players, but the game is still very popular today, and now the developers are ready to surprise users with a super announcement.
The transition to the free-to-play model is certainly a possibility not to be excluded, as is the arrival on Xbox and Switch, especially considering that the two ports are now in the final stages of development. Some rumors even speak of a triple announcement, with a transition to free-to-play, arrival on Xbox and Switch, and cross-play enabled on all platforms, but to receive a confirmation, we will have to wait until May 16.
