F1 22 had an excellent debut in the West. Among the new features, one most appreciated was the virtual reality on PC support for a unique and more immersive experience. In the last period, many fans have wondered if support for VR would also be extended to next-gen consoles, perhaps on PS5 with the help of the brand new PS VR2. Still, Codemasters has dissolved any doubts by confirming that there are no plans to support other viewers at the moment.
“At the moment, we are not working on introducing support for PS VR2,” said David Williams, Senior Producer of F1 22, “but in the future, the team will continue to consider all opportunities.”
These words confirm that there are no plans to bring VR to other platforms as well, but they leave a glimmer for the future, so it is not certain that Codemasters will not decide to get to work in the event of a great success of the PlayStation headset.
F1 22 is the latest Formula 1 sports simulation chapter signed by Codemasters and published by EA. The game is available on consoles and PCs and posted strong sales in the month of launch.
