Electronic Arts and Codemasters have described F1 22 as “the beginning of a new era for Formula 1”, but the game’s first teaser did not illustrate the innovations brought to this new chapter. The first gameplay videos certainly did not show all the gameplay improvements and changes that the developers have been working on over the past year. Fortunately, today the British studio released the first official trailer with the gameplay overview, revealing the main news of F1 22 and all those improvements that contribute to making it a must-see racing video game.
As you can see in the trailer, Codemasters has improved graphics, realism, AI behavior, and even reworked pit stops, introducing human error. In addition, the circuits of Spain, Australia, and Abu Dhabi have been updated, new training programs have been added, and the F1 Life mode has been introduced, which allows players to customize their character and access a hub to show supercars, trophies and much more. Career mode naturally returns with new animations and features and the split-screen for two players. Finally, there is room for accessibility, with many different settings that allow complete control of the level of difficulty.
F1 22 will be available from July 1st on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, and PC.
