Players will soon be able to get their hands on Elite Dangerous: Odyssey. In fact, Frontier Developments has released a new gameplay video for the highly anticipated expansion, announcing the release date of the open alpha on PC: March 29.
The video released by the British studio shows a raid mission in which three Commanders must carry out a raid on a military outpost. Their goal is to disable the central energy core, effectively depriving the central faction of electricity.
Elite Dangerous: Odyssey pre-orders are open on Steam: the expansion can be pre-ordered for 34.99 euros. Of course, the base game Elite: Dangerous will be required to play Odyssey starting March 29. However, the alpha phase of the expansion will not last long: Frontier Developments has made it known that the final version of Odyssey will arrive in late spring.
As for the console versions, however, the developer announced that he is planning the release of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game for the fall of this year.
