FromSoftware is no stranger to publishing DLCs for their video games. Given the tremendous success of Elden Ring, it’s easy to imagine the Interregnum continuing to expand for years to come. Lance McDonald, content creator passionate about soulslike, has discovered an area that the Miyazaki team could use for one of the next expansions, made accessible thanks to a PC mod that allows you to go outside the confines of the map.
In the video published by the YouTuber, it is possible to see the inside of one of the inaccessible arenas of Elden Ring, which apparently could be the scene of a DLC focused on PvP or a free update with the much-requested “boss rush” already seen in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. In the video, we can see how FromSoftware has even taken care of the interiors of an inaccessible area, with hoists and various elements of the scenario, including swords and rocks, so it is certainly possible that the team intends to open the doors with downloadable content.
Beyond the main expansions of the story, those with new areas, enemies, and bosses, it cannot be excluded that FromSoftware is thinking of adding an arena for multiplayer or boss rushes, given the community’s interest in both features. Unfortunately, at the moment, we do not have any certainty, nor do we know if a possible DLC would be offered for free or for a fee, but the presence of the Colosseum is certainly an important clue.
