Elden Ring, the new video game from FromSoftware and Bandai Namco, will not be released on January 21, 2022, as previously announced, but on February 25, 2022. The confirmation comes from a recent Twitter post from the studio, which said it needed more time to complete jobs. Some players will still be able to try the game in November during the closed test.
“Important communication,” reads the Twitter profile of the game, ” Elden Ring will be released on February 25, 2022, as the depth and level of freedom guaranteed by the game have exceeded the expectations of the team. Thank you for your trust and for patience. We can’t wait to see the reactions of the players after the closed November test.”
Therefore, a postponement is dictated by the need for time to complete the polishing job and, therefore, to ship a product without bugs and other problems.
As for the closed test, FromSoftware opened access to the site a few minutes ago, and all players with a PS4, PS5, Xbox One, or Xbox Series X / S eager to try the closed beta can sign up. Registration must be completed before November 1, 2021, and the chosen players will receive an email with instructions to access the preview.
The times at which it will be possible to play are the same all over the world. The servers will be active during these five sessions:
- Session 1 – 12 November (Fri) from 12 to 15
- Session 2 – November 13 (Sat) from 4 to 7
- Session 3 – November 13 (Sat) from 8pm to 11pm
- Session 4 – 14 November (Sun) from 12 to 15
- Session 5 – 15 November (Mon) from 4 to 7
Below you will find the link to access the Bandai Namco site, which specifies all the steps to follow to access the closed beta.
