Starting November 12, all console players lucky enough to receive an invitation from Bandai Namco will be able to experience first-hand Elden Ring, FromSoftware’s new soulslike dark fantasy due out in February 2022. Waiting for the start of the closed test, which will remember to be scheduled for the period between Friday 12 and Monday, November 15, Bandai has unveiled the five presets of the selectable heroes, which would then also be five classes among those selectable at the beginning of the full game.
Being a closed test, there is a good chance that the classes can only use the equipment selected by the developers since it is unlikely that FromSoftware will want to unveil weapons, armor, spells, and any game lore in advance. In all cases, it will first be necessary to understand how large the areas that can be explored during the test will be and what type of content can be accessed.
However, the initial choice of the character will allow users to select their hero from Warrior, Enchanted Knight, Prophet, Champion, and Bloody Wolf. They will surely also return in the full game. In Dark Souls and Demon’s Souls, it was possible to choose between around ten starting classes to expect a similar number in Elden Ring.
The design and equipment of the five selectable lightless are quite explanatory. Net of unlikely surprises, the Warrior will count on high strength and vitality, the Knight will exploit the magic and the Prophet the faith. Champion and Bloody Wolf are two new classes both in name and design, but based on what is shown in the trailer, it seems that the latter can count on high dexterity.
And what do you think? Who will you try first if you are invited? Tell us in the comments!
