Konami has announced a series of postponements and cancellations for eFootball 2022, with much of the incoming content, postponed to the new year. Update 1.0, initially scheduled for November 11, has been postponed to spring 2022 along with the mobile versions (iOS / Android), while the Premium Player Pack has been definitively canceled, and refunds will begin soon.
First of all, starting today, November 5, 2021, the corrective patch 0.9.1 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X / S. This new update fixes numerous bugs and should make the gaming experience less frustrating while it doesn’t seem to improve player animations. You can take a look at the patch notes on the official eFootball website.
Update 1.0, the biggest update to come, has been postponed from November 11, 2021, to spring 2022, along with the game’s mobile versions. Konami explained that “it takes more time to be able to offer a quality product that meets user expectations” and that “for this reason the decision was made to postpone the release of the update.” The update will introduce a new game mode that will allow players to build their original team and other in-game content that we will discover in detail in the coming months.
Finally, the pre-orders of eFootball 2022 have been canceled: Premium Player Pack, the € 39.99 DLC including 2,800 eFootball Coins and six “Deal in the Dark” items useful for signing some of the 16 legends of eFootball 2022, including which stand out Neymar, Messi, Rashford and other top players. The package has been canceled from the stores, and refunds will take place automatically over the next few months. Konami said they wanted to “review the content of the DLC” before repurposing it in a new guise.
