Electronic Arts has given its investors a glimpse of all the titles that are in development for 2023, among which is a “big title” and a remake that has yet to be announced.
In the document regarding the planned releases, EA has F1 22 in Q1, FIFA and Madden NFL in Q2, and Need for Speed and NHL in Q3. For Q4, which covers the period between January and March 2023, the PGA Tour and four more unannounced titles will be released:
- A great title;
- Title with a partnership;
- Unannounced remake;
- Title of the sports genre.
For now, it is not clear which games these are. One would think that the remake mentioned would be that of Dead Space, but EA makes it clear that none of the games have been publicly announced, and the Dead Space remake was already announced last year. Therefore, everything seems to indicate that a second remake is in development to be released in 2023.
As for the “great title,” it is very likely to be a new Dragon Age or even a new Mass Effect, both in development but neither officially announced publicly, with pomp and circumstance.
In the documentation, EA lists “new studios” in Seattle that are developing an “unannounced, open-world action-adventure game” in the documentation, which is also a strong contender for this category. In addition, the Motive studio is developing an unannounced game, along with Dead Space.
As for the remaining titles, the game of the sports genre could be EA’s announced return to American Football. And finally, the game created in partnership will hardly be able to discover and probably will soon be announced.
