Dying Light 2 has been renamed Dying Light 2 Stay Human and will now be released on December 7, 2021. Techland debuted a new gameplay trailer, even before E3 2021, which shows the current state of Dying Light 2 along with a new synopsis of the story.
In the game, you take control of Aiden Cauldwell, a survivor who tries to reconstruct his past during this chaos full of zombies and other threats. In addition, three factions vie for power over the remnants of civilization. Aiden can work for or against each one, which helps to shape his story. But at night, all three factions are entirely at the mercy of the zombies.
The new gameplay trailer above still shows some of the main mechanics, such as the parkour crossing and the day and night cycle of the game. While the zombies roam freely at night, their nests are empty and allow you to venture into these dangerous areas to coeltar loot.
It is also possible to customize your combat to your style, whether melee, weapons, or creations. And since the subject is choices, the open world of Stay Human has different NPCs, which you can ally or face. The worst thing is that Aiden will have to race against time if he wants to remain human.
All of this was confirmed at the Dying 2 Know event, broadcast today on the Techland channel on Twitch. The work is already pre-sale in three different editions: Standard, Deluxe, and Collector’s Edition. The collector’s edition also comes with a figure, flashlight, art book, and steel case.
Dying Light 2 Stay Human will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One, and PC.
