On June 22, 2021, Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance will hit the market. And this new — and ambitious — RPG title from the Dungeons and Dragons universe is coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One, and PC.
But today, an announcement has taken place that could make more than one option for the Xbox versions when choosing the platform where they will play it. The reason? Microsoft has announced that D&D: Dark Alliance will be an Xbox Game Pass game from the same launch day.
And as it happened with Outriders, the offer will not only be for the new generation of consoles. In fact, as reported from Xbox Wire, the game will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, Windows 10 PCs and phones and tablets through Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta).
As if that were not enough, it has also been announced that there will be cross-play between those Xbox Game Pass players who enjoy Dark Alliance on PC and those who prefer to play on consoles. An important detail since this adventure will allow you to cooperate with three other players at any time.
As for the game itself, Dark Alliance is a third-person shooter that takes you and your friends into the unforgiving icy inferno of Icewind Dale to battle iconic Dungeon and Dragons monsters as you collect epic loot.
Additionally, the Dark Alliance lets you choose from four iconic heroes to complete the adventure: Drizzt, Catti-brie, Bruenor, and Wulfgar, with over 50 different moves, special abilities, and team attacks. And its creators have already confirmed that the combat system is easy to learn but difficult to master, with emerging strategies and tactics that depend on the situation, the abilities, and the monsters.
