Stillalive Studios and Astragon Entertainment unveil their official release date for their sci-fi adventure strategy on PC, with a new trailer for grabs.
After a motion comic trailer to reveal the plot last Friday, Drone Swarm goes into gameplay explanation mode with a new video. They take the time to explain precisely the different phases of the game when encountering enemies.
Drone Swarm will create your attack trajectories against your opponents by tracing them with the mouse. Using your 32,000 drones, direct destructive waves to destroy everything in their path. You can make direct attacks, or teach them new abilities as you explore. You will have the possibility of making a shock to propel asteroids on enemy ships, for example.
The defense is also an important part of the gameplay. You can draw drone walls to counter attacks. But it will be necessary to manage your number well. The more there are in your walls, the less you will have the possibility of launching attacks afterward. Also, enemies adapt, and will begin to have shields, but also weapons that pierce your defenses or immobilize your drones. It’s up to you to think about the best solution to overcome it.
Drone Swarm will be released on October 20, 2020, on Steam for € 19.99 in pre-order. A free demo is available to get a taste of the game.
