Gameloft has released a new trailer for Disney Dreamlight Valley, which presents an overview of how the game mechanics will work.
You can meet him here:
Disney Dreamlight Valley is the new game from Disney and Pixar. It features life-sim gameplay with traits of adventure à la Animal Crossing and takes place in Dreamlight Valley, a small village inhabited by Disney characters.
These figures suffer from amnesia due to an event called The Forgetting. In addition to the collective amnesia, the city was filled with mysterious purple plants called Night Thorns. It’s up to the player to realize what happened and save Dreamlight Valley.
Despite having a plot behind it, and as is visible from the trailer, the gameplay will have several traits of a sandbox. You’ll be able to create your character and establish relationships with Mickey, Goofy, Buzz Lightyear, Elsa, and a range of protagonists and secondary characters from Disney-Pixar films. Along the way, you’ll help them recover their memories.
In Disney Dreamlight Valley, it is also possible to build houses and cities, with activities that include mining, fishing, cooking, and the ability to take pictures with the characters on the map.
Paid Early Access is set to launch on September 6 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC and Mac via Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store, and Mac App Store. It will also be available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
The full game will be released in 2023.
