Publisher Bandai Namco and developer Witchcraft announced that Digimon Survive had been postponed to 2021. Initially, the title would arrive in 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam.
See the message from Digimon Survive producer Kazumasa Habu about the delay:
The Digimon Survive team would like to extend our thanks to fans worldwide for their support during development, especially in these difficult times. We had initially planned on launching Digimon Survive for 2020. Still, current world events have changed our development time, and we made the difficult decision to push the release of Digimon Survive to 2021.
We thank everyone for their continued patience as we work to create a fun and engaging tactical RPG game, along with a memorable story for Digimon fans! We will share some interesting updates for Digimon Survive in the spring of 2021, so stay tuned for more information.Kazumasa Habu, producer of Digimon Survive
