Developed by Moon Kid and previously released for Android and iOS devices, Witcheye is now preparing to reach the Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam very soon. Devolver Digital has announced that it will be publishing the game on these platforms this Thursday, August 27th.
Here’s what we can expect from Witcheye:
Set out on an adventure as a witch of manners that transforms into a flying eyeball after a fawning knight and wizard steals your spell ingredients. You’ll guide you through more than 50 levels, each containing something unique: new complicated enemies, new mysterious environments, and new intriguing secrets. These elements come to life with colorful and clean pixel art and an original animated and vibrant soundtrack.
Witcheye is a new approach to platforms with a free-moving race in the air. Players can stop at a location, reverse direction, or change their course at will. Jump into diabolical beasts, collect collectibles, and reach the objective of each level whenever possible.
Designer Peter Malamud Smith was the co-creator (with Charlie Hoey) of the viral hit The Great Gatsby For NES and creator of the well-received mobile action puzzles Satellina and Satellina Zero.
