Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles will receive its first paid DLC this summer, and it will be a content-rich pack based on the second season of the anime. According to Gematsu, the new expansion will include seven playable characters, four of which with unique movesets and three potential reskins for the trio of protagonists.
Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles currently has twenty-four playable characters, eighteen included in the base version of the game, and six more added via free DLC during the first quarter of launch. The first paid DLC will make the roster grow a lot and, according to what Shueisha reported in Japan, will introduce the following characters:
- Tengen Uzui
- Daki
- Gyutaro
- Nezuko Kamado (Awakened)
- Tanjiro Kamado (Entertainment District)
- Zenitsu Agatsuma (Entertainment District)
- Inosuke Hashibira (Entertainment District)
The Tengen Uzui Pillar of Sound and The Sixth Rising Moons, Daku and Gyutaro, were fairly obvious additions. The new and popular form of Nezuko Kamado, which like its brother, will be available in two different forms. As for the new version of the three protagonists, they likely are simple “female” reskins inspired by the events of the last narrative arc, which will probably differ from the original ones only for the special move.
Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles’ first paid DLC will arrive this summer. We remind you that the game is available at a discount on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, and PC and that it will arrive on Switch in June.
