EA Motive has announced a new showcase dedicated to Dead Space Remake, set for Thursday, 12 May. The Livestream, titled “Creating the Tension,” will offer a deep dive into various aspects of the game’s art design. The Motive team will show the first footage of leveraging the Frostbite engine, Gen 5 hardware, and PCs to visually evolve and recreate the environments, characters, VFX, lighting, and more of the original Dead Space to create a new level of immersion for the modern audience.
After a first event dedicated to game audio, EA Motive has decided to organize a second Livestream focused on artistic direction, led by Art Director Mike Yazijian. The showcase is expected to last about fifty minutes and will include interviews with the developers and short clips of gameplay, during which the main improvements made to this remake can be observed. The Livestream can be followed live on YouTube and Twitch.
Dead Space Remake is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X / S, and PC and will be released in 2023.
