The release date of Dead Space Remake, a remake of Visceral Studios’ 2008 horror milestone, was recently postponed from late 2022 to January 2023. At a time when postponements are commonplace, it’s normal that occasionally fans ask for updates on the state of play. EA Motive released one just a few hours ago, confirming that Dead Space Remake has been in Alpha for a few weeks and, therefore, has no problems.
The entry of the game into the “Alpha phase” means that the work is progressing well and that, at the moment, one or more sections can be played by the testers. However, this does not mean we can live the whole experience from start to finish since we will have to wait for the Beta. In the coming months, EA Motive will complete the work and move to the post-production stage, and unless there are any hitches on the schedule in mid-January, it should be able to bring the game to the gold phase.
Dead Space Remake will be released just over a month and a half away from The Callisto Protocol, another sci-fi horror video game very similar to Dead Space, created by the new studio of the author of the series Glen Schofield. It will be interesting to find out which of the two will be better received, and above all which one will triumph on the sales front.
