Patches of Cyberpunk 2077 continued. The creators of the game – CD Projekt, are not stopping to improve the game and released a new hotfix – a small patch that applies to personal computers. It fixes problems caused by update 1.3 on older CPUs.
The confusion concerns the Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX) instruction set, which caused crashes on “aged” processors that no longer support such advanced technology. CD Projekt just decided to remove these instructions, which should make the game run more smoothly. What’s more, the introduced patch will not affect the current version numbering of Cyberpunk.
“Hotfix removes AVX instructions from the game’s executive file, which eliminates bugs on older processors without support for this technology. The version designation does not change – we remain at 1.3”.
However, now it seems that most fans are waiting for the title to be transferred to next-gen devices, which could undoubtedly improve the opinion of the game if it is done properly. Everything is likely to take place in 2021. However, it is good that CD Projekt remembers virtually every field that still requires improvement. Maybe in a while, the game will become fully playable for everyone? We’ll wait and see.
