Cyberpunk 2077: Patch 1.2 patch notes

The devs from CD Projekt Red have published a list of changes and fixes that we will welcome in the game with patch 1.2. I have to admit that the developers go straight to the fans and offer solutions for the most annoying buggies and the necessary gameplay improvements. You can find the full list of fixes below. All changes have been assigned to individual areas of the game for ease of use.

The most important changes in the gameplay include improved vehicle movement systems, disabling the possibility of hitting friendly NPCs or removing numerous bugs related to the blocking of characters or our vehicle in various places in Night City. This will allow you to drive around the city more freely and explore the entire eternally alive metropolis.

Also, it was ensured that players could freely and unhindered perform their tasks. Great emphasis was placed on ensuring that nothing would interrupt our plot, important conversation, or loop the progress. One of the many revised tasks is “The Last Extinguishes the Light” and “Who Sows the Wind.” NPCD officers now also behave more naturally in tasks and disturb us when they should. Also fixed many bugs related to contracts, allowing them to be properly executed.

Other important changes are fixes in cutscenes, in which finally characters will not lose faces, items, and other models or textures. Items are to no longer disappear during tasks, not to duplicate or block, and all of the items that we need to continue the game are to be in the right place.

The creators from CD Projekt Red also took care of the appropriate optimization. In the list of amendments, we can read that, among other things, the memory management method has been changed, thus relieving the game during longer sessions. Also, performance drops when pressing the same button repeatedly are reduced. CD Projekt Red has also prepared a significant improvement for AMD users. Finally, they will be able to take advantage of the Ray-Tracing feature in Red’s latest game – only up-to-date graphics drivers will be required.

Console users will also be pleased with the new changes. Thanks to the patch, black screens that occur during various actions (such as saves or close-ups on the Xbox One console) will be eliminated, and models and textures should no longer disappear (e.g., when we decapitate someone). It also seems quite important for console players to fix various bugs with the game being randomly thrown to the home screen.

You can find all the corrections assigned to the appropriate categories in the official announcement.
