During the CohhCarnage Twitch broadcast, senior mission designer Patrick K. Mills, in the post-show on the third Night City Wire, said that the campaign for Cyberpunk 2077 would be a little shorter than The Witcher 3. Because although many people were very far in the game, few have made it to the end.
“The difference between a full-fledged journey and the main story journey … we know that the main story of Cyberpunk 2077 is slightly shorter than The Witcher 3 because we get a lot of complaints about the main story of The Witcher 3 being too long,” said Mills.
“Looking at the metrics, you see a huge number of people playing so far, but it never came to an end. We want you to see the full story, so we’ve shortened the main story, but there’s a lot to do, and in terms of a complete campaign, I don’t have that number.”
According to How Long To Beat, the main story of The Witcher 3 takes an average of 51.5 hours to complete, while an entire race can take about 172 hours.
Considering the three lists of trophies that exist for the game, the percentage of obtaining the trophy related to ending the story is around 25 to 30%, depending on which list you check.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on November 19, 2020, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
