Cyberpunk 2077 is about to get a lot bigger after a game expansion in 2023 that will open up new zones in Night City. According to VGC, details of the new, as-yet-untitled expansion have leaked online and indicate that it will have inaccessible areas of Night City opening for the first time.
The Combat Zone, an area of the Pacific region that was always closed in the game, will now open in the new expansion. The zone was previously featured in the Cyberpunk 2077 art book.
Also, the Sports Dome will finally open – another large, locked-down area. Rumor has it that this area will be home to one of the expansion’s new main quests.
The leaked files circulated on social media and revealed some details about the expansion’s new content. The DLC will follow Songbird – a character previously mentioned in the story.
While the leak appears to be incomplete, it is believed that the expansion will include several new side quests and seven main quests. According to users who have seen the leaked files, the DLC will include fixed missions, world stories, and new encounters.
It was also noted that Johnny Silverhand would play a less prominent role, which has led to speculation about an issue regarding the availability of Keanu Reeves when producing this expansion.
However, the expansion introduces some changes to the various game endings, and here Silverhand will already recognize the impact of the DLC events. Cyberpunk 2077’s first expansion is scheduled to be released in 2023.
