CD Projekt Red recently announced a new chapter in The Witcher series, currently developing in Unreal Engine 5. While one part of the Polish studio is working on the new adventure set in the world of Andrzej Sapkowski, another is still working on Cyberpunk 2077, which apparently will receive expansions and “a lot of other content.”
Paweł Sasko, CD Projekt Red’s Lead Quest Designer, talked about the game’s new features during one of his usual livestreams, stating that the plans haven’t changed and that the studio is working hard to improve the experience. “Unfortunately, I can’t reveal much information about our plans,” Sasko explained, “but they can confirm that we are working on expansions and many other things for you.”
After a catastrophic launch, Cyberpunk 2077 has finally started carburizing, thanks to the various patches published over the last year and a half. The great reception received by update 1.5 is pushing the team to do even better. “We are continuing to improve the game because we know there is a lot of work to be done,” added the developer, “Update 1.5 has been an added incentive and is pushing us to do better because you made us understand that the game you like it. I can only tell you that we are creating new things for you; I am personally working on it every day so that new content will arrive. ” You can listen to Paweł Sasko’s words from minute 2:00.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, and PC. The game will continue to receive content and updates until the end of the year, most likely for the entire course of 2023.
