Pearl Abyss today unveiled the first gameplay trailer for Crimson Desert during The Game Awards 2020, confirming that the fantasy open-world action/adventure game will be released for PC and consoles in the American winter of 2021.
Crimson Desert promises to be a revolutionary open-world action/adventure game that combines narrative-focused single-player games with online multiplayer features. The game is set on the continent of Pywel, a war-torn world with many different territories, cities, cultures, and religions. Pywel is a rugged land, with several areas, factions, and regions fighting for control. As players advance through the title, events will occur that will shape the fate of those involved.
The trailer also reveals the game’s protagonist, Macduff, a downed mercenary struggling to reclaim his land. It also shows excerpts from Macduff meeting the main members of his group of mercenaries, who will cross the continent of Pywel together as they work to overcome the dangers.
