Activision publisher and developer Toys for Bob will release a demo of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time for users who digitally pre-order the game for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. The demo will be available on September 16.
The demo will include two levels of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, featuring Crash Bandicoot and Neo Cortex as playable characters. It will also allow users to try out some of the new quantum masks: “Kupuna-Wa” to control time and “Lani-Loi” to activate and deactivate objects in phases. The demo will be available for download until the game is released to all users who have pre-ordered the game digitally.
Parallel to this, it has been confirmed that Tawna will be a playable character in Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. Appearing only in the trilogy’s first game as Crash’s girlfriend, Tawna was the archetype of the damsel in distress, and we never learned much about her. At the beginning of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, Crash and Coco come across a Tawna from the so-called “Tawnaverse,” an alternative dimension where she is the heroine of her own story.
Each of the three new playable characters in Crash 4 has a unique way of moving and interacting with the world. Dingodile uses his vacuum cleaner to give himself an extra floating jump, Neo Cortex has a fast forward motion, and Tawna is no exception.
Equipped with a versatile hook ability that allows her to quickly traverse levels and attack enemies and break boxes from a distance, Tawna is as powerful as it looks. She also has a devastating weight attack on the ground, spinning kicks, and can reach new heights with her acrobatic jump on the wall. Playing as Tawna feels fast, fluid, and new while maintaining the precision and intensity that makes Crash Bandicoot a unique platform experience.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will be released on October 2 for PS4 and Xbox One.
