As previously reported, the Control universe will soon be expanded with several new productions. Representatives of 505 Games and Remedy Entertainment have officially announced that a multiplayer spin-off is currently being developed.
Condor’s working title will be a 4-person cooperative game operating on the principle of “players vs. the environment.” We also know that Remedy uses the Northlight engine to create this project on which Control was created.
“We are excited to expand our cooperation with Remedy. With over two million units sold and over 70 million euros in profit, Control is a huge success. Condor has a chance to keep the player interested for a little longer,” said Rami and Raffi Galante, CEOs of Digital Bros Group, to which 505 Games belongs.
In addition, it has been officially announced that, apart from the multiplayer spin-off, there will be at least one more game belonging to the same universe. Remedy will receive a slightly larger budget this time than in Control, which means that the upcoming production may be an even more ambitious project.
Additional information related to these upcoming games can be found on the official website of the studio.
Control debuted in 2019 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The next-gen version hit PS5 and Xbox Series X in February 2021.
