Cobra Kai, a TV series based on the 1984 film Karate Boy, will receive a video game adaptation due out on October 27th. Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues is a side-scrolling Beat ’em up for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence, voiced by original actors Ralph Macchio and William Zabka, will lead playable fighters from their dojos across multiple Cobra Kai levels, as shown in the trailer above. Rookie Robbie, Miguel, and Hawke are also on the roster of eight characters. Each fighter will have a skill tree to improve, and the creation of Miyagi-Do or Cobra Kai is part of the storyline.
Cobra Kai will have over 28 story missions, including boss fights (a fight with psychopath John Crees seems inevitable). Players will have to go through both dojo story arcs to end the game truly.
