Studio Torn Banner announced that they strive to make Chivalry 2 best possible gaming and a worthy heir to the original Chivalry: Medieval Warfare. But that takes more time as developers are still adapting to the world changed by the coronavirus.
Chivalry 2 will now only appear in 2021. But it will be released on all platforms at once: PC (through the Epic Games Store ), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. Earlier it was already confirmed that the project would support cross-platform play.
The studio will also take full advantage of the postponement, make some improvements, and add to the release version what was initially planned for updates. Thanks to this, Chivalry 2 will immediately have more maps and features. But they still won’t have time to add horses.
Meanwhile, the developers are preparing a new phase of closed alpha testing. They intend to spend a few more cycles before starting the first open beta test.
