Chained Echoes to feature turtle racing minigame with ZILF track

The “Turtle Race” minigame in Chained Echoes will feature a 15-second song by the British band ZILF. The announcement was made by publisher Deck13 and developer Matthias Linda.

Turtle Race is one of several minigames in Chained Echoes. Players will be able to bet on one of the four turtles in the race.

“When asked to write a 15-second song for a flock of turtles competing with each other in a pixel art JRPG game,” ZILF members said in a press release, “we replied, ‘This is the most ZILF thing we already heard. ‘”

Chained Echoes is a 16-bit SNES-style RPG set in a fantasy world where dragons are as common as piloted mechanical suits. Follow a group of heroes as they explore a land filled to the brim with charming characters, fantastic landscapes, and cruel enemies.

Chained Echoes will be released for PlayStation 4, Switch and PC, Mac, and Linux via Steam in 2021.
