Konami has announced the return of Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls, an iOS title released in 2019 but removed soon after without any explanation. Now the game is about to return through the Apple Arcade subscription service. The title is already active among the next arrivals, and we know that it will arrive shortly without, unfortunately, a more specific date.
Like many of Konami’s classic IPs, the Castlevania series has been dormant for some time now. Even after a hit anime series on Netflix, there are no signs of a new game coming soon. At the very least, Konami has allowed access to the franchise’s legendary past with the fantastic Anniversary Collection and another potential upcoming collection that will bring together some of the portable chapters. But that’s not the only return, as another unexpected game will return via Apple.
Konami has announced that Grimoire of Souls will return via Apple Arcade. For those unfamiliar, this is an original iOS game from 2019 where it was possible to play as Alucard and unlock other heroes in the series. In the game, Dracula was finally sealed, but a new evil arose and brought with it 60 levels that go into the title. The game sadly never had a worldwide launch and was only officially released in Canada before being removed shortly after without any explanation.
We still don’t know when the game will be released on Apple Arcade, but we do know that it will arrive shortly. The title is already active in the list of upcoming arrivals. Stay tuned to know when Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls is finally available.
