Animal Crossing: New Horizons is getting a major free update that adds special events and items to the game. That makes developer, and publisher Nintendo known.
Through update 2.0, Nintendo mainly provides new seasonal events.
- For example, between April 29 and May 7, you can pick up a coupon for May Day at Orville at the airport and visit a special island. The destination is different from last year, according to Nintendo.
- When you visit the museum between May 18 and May 31, you can participate in a special Blathers stamp race in honor of International Museum Day. There are also stamps around the art gallery to stick on your stamp card.
- Finally, from June 1 to June 30, you can find Reese and Cyrus on Harvey Island. There they tie the knot. You can help them with the decorations and the wedding photos.
The Nook catalog and the Able sisters’ shop also get new furniture and clothing that has a wedding theme.
In the Nook catalog, certain special items are only available for a limited time. According to Nintendo, these temporary items will be in honor of Kodomo no Hi in Japan (April 28 to May 5), the Cheese Rolls in the UK (May 22 to May 31), Mother’s Day (May 1 to May 31), Father’s Day (June 1). until June 30) and more.
Finally, Flick comes to the square at the service desk for the monthly Bug Cup. When you hunt critters on June 26, July 24, August 28, and September 25, you can earn points to trade with Flick for special items. On July 10, CJ will return to the square for a fishing tournament.
