Watch Dogs: Legion gives you an army of potential allies and tons of approaches to accomplish your goals. But rebuilding DedSec and taking back London are not easy feats. So here are ten tips and tricks to uncover the truth, take down foes, and hack your way to justice in Watch Dogs: Legion. You can read our review here.
Scope Out Areas With Drones
Whether you’re trying to sneak in or take down every enemy in sight. It helps to get a sense of the area. Hack nearby drones and use them to scope out your target before entering restricted zones. They’re limited in range, but you can also use them to get close enough to hack other cameras.
Hack Cargo Drones to Drop-In Easily
And speaking of drones, you can climb on top of cargo drones and use them to fly around as a way to avoid complicated infiltrations. Why climb a fence or hack security when you can drop down like a middle-aged construction worker batman? If you’re in the middle of a rescue, however, they can’t hop on the drone with you, you’ll need to walk the old-fashioned way.
Lose the Cops
When under pursuit, watch out for drones that may be pursuing you, and keep in mind you can disarm or even hijack them and be sure to avoid checkpoints when Albion is on your tail.
Quickly hacking an oncoming vehicle to move left or right can also be a great way to lose pursuers, and you can even hack cop cars to help you escape them. If you’re constantly under pursuit, consider using team members with useful perks like chase drone immunity.
Grind for ETO
Grind for ETO by hacking everything from ATMs to slot machines, playing mini-games, and more. Keep in mind some operatives have ETO related perks like crypto skimmer and takedown thief that may make them your new favorite.
Shock Hack Some Fools
Certain operatives can perform a shock hack. Use it to sneak by or get a leg up for head-on combat situations.
Fast Travel Often
The game doesn’t notify you when you unlock fast travel points, but if you need to get somewhere in a gif, you may have a travel point nearby already unlocked; check your map. Also, SSDs are great, so something to look forward to, I guess.
Get Back into Cover Quickly
It’s easier to escape from enemies than you probably think to get out of sight. Make sure to watch your radar; it will stop blinking red, and then you should be good to go. Returning quickly to the scene has its disadvantages, though, as the guards will still be alert.
Use All the Spiderbots
You can use your spider bot to look out for boxes you can spawn them from if you have one. If an infiltration point contains one more spot, you can use it in your inventory for extra tech. If a spider bot box is in a restricted zone, you must either complete the mission or a hidden goodie is nearby.
Abuse Uniformed Access Privileges
Be sure to stack your team with operatives who have uniformed access walking right in, and completing your objective instead of having to sneak around is invaluable. It doesn’t mean you can’t be caught, but it sure does make it harder. You can find anything from construction workers and medical personnel to enemy factions such as Albion and even clan kelly.
Plan Out Your Team
The actual number is not currently known, but there is a cap on the number of operatives you can recruit. Although your potential recruits seem to eat into that cap, so if you’re looking to add one or two more, you may have space without having to retire an operative. We know you already have enough flatulent team members; you don’t need another one.
And those are our tips and tricks for making your way through each mission across London.
