It took a while, but it’s here: Beat Games studio has announced that it will introduce multiplayer functionality to Beat Saber on the PlayStation VR. This feature was already present on Oculus and PC VR a year ago, but it has been a long-delayed and much-desired release on PlayStation.
On PlayStation Blog, Beat Games detailed everything fans can expect from this new multiplayer component: “challenge your friends or random opponents around the world and compete to the sound of your favorite songs, in private or public clashes, up to five people per same time. “
In addition to playing with your friends, one of the biggest aspects of the Beat Saber multiplayer component is creating the avatar that will represent you in the game.
In addition to these additions, Beat Games also promises several improvements in the multiplayer component, such as customizable colors, multiplayer badges, and different designs for the results and statistics screen.
Last but not least, Beat Games studio has announced that they will be adding a new song, thematically related to Halloween, titled Spooky Beat by Jaroslav Beck.
